Another Noob in SoCal

Hello everyone. Just signed up and made my second purchase here, actually accumulating quite a lot of items already. The first order included Menzerna Final Polish, which I tried to do by hand. It did some progress, but I still see the smallest of scratches from it in direct sun light; I'm sure I didn't break it down right. So the recent order included a 7424, which I can't wait to try. This is all for my weeks old 08 Tahoe Z71 4WD, loaded and black. I special ordeed it and love it more than life LOL. Anyway, it just has the finest swirls from the dealer wash, but the rubber door moulding has a couple of deep marks from my wonderful neighbor pushing her door edge into it. Anyone have tips for working that out? I've been studying here a lot to get the proper techniques but didn't see that addressed. My plan is to do the Final Polish, then WG Sealant 3.0, followed by Collinite Liquid Insulator. My goal is an acceptable shine with a protection good for months. How many coats of sealant and wax are too many? Also, does anyone know about Maguiars Natural Shine Rubber and Vinyl Protectant? Didn't see it here, but already used some on my dash etc., but don't know if it contains silicone, which I know now to avoid. Eventually I'm sure I'll be detailing for family and friends, as all things cars are my hobby. Sorry for the book, but I've got the bug. Thanks for any replies, and for a great site.
