Aloha from Hawaii

Completely new to the forum. Lots of good posts here. Wanted to say hi to everyone. But also wanted to hear your feedback. Just bought a new 2008 Tacoma and I want everything to be perfect. Hawaii's atmosphere is not great for cars so I wanted anyone opinion for a great paste wax. I would says looks is not as important as durability. Since Hawaii is covered with salt air, which paste wax would you suggest? I want a wax that provides protection against the elements and salt air is one of the worst. And Mahalo (means thank you) to everyone.

My first inclination is to point you in the directions of sealants. A sealant will provide protection longer than a wax. I've tried Wolfgang Paint Sealant 3.0, and am very pleased. Now in all fairness, it's been on my car for 3 days, so I can't really speak to its durability.

Re: Aloha from Hawaii

the sealant is a good idea. Those that drive salted roads all winter have been topping a sealant with Collinite Wax and say that it is a bullet proof combo for durability. I haven't tried it but trust a lot of good info on here. Enjoy.
