    New and different

I've seen lots of auto enthusiasts on here but no truckers. I have a 2015 Freitghliner Cascadia straight truck and need some help getting it to look better and have the look stay longer. I bought a Flex polisher and various pads but I'm not sure what products to use. The cab is base clear paint and the box is enamel. There are some vinyl graphics that I need to keep up also. Thanks for having a forum to ask questions.

There is no difference between taking care of a car versus a truck, only more area to polish. Same goes for vinyl, no difference. Oh, and welcome to the forum.

I would say 75 percent of semi is single stage paint especially the older ones going back 5 years.what color is it? I would definitely go with a aio.Time is probably not on your side as you have to keep on trucking to make $$.If you have the time a simple user friendly coating like pinnacle would hold up.just have to avoid those caustic cleaners truckers use.

Thank for the replies. The truck is white, will post photo as soon as I can get one of it clean I do know the factory paint is base clear as I have had some custom work done and this paint is hard to match.

Welcome to the forum Trucker Bob. There are several older post on the forum of guys detailing trucks that might be helpful. I haven't detailed a truck yet so I'm no help there. The Flex will handle the job.

the biggest major factor I have is climbing to the hard to reach areas. get yourself some decent type of scaffolds & or ladders. I'm a driver and at 67 just washing it is a chore. all my truck washing & drying tools have handle's on them. much easier detailing car & pickup truck. good luck.
