hey guys im new in this forum and i found this topic wich help me with some of questions that i have, i am interested in starting a mobile detailing bussiness but i have a few questions and i hope somebody can help me with.
i saw and understand that all my legal question i gotta let them clear with the city hall office, so all questions are about the tools and stuff i may need to do the job right.
first thing i want to ask, it is require to have a water tank? and, also i need one tank for clean water and one for dirty water? cause i think all that water that i used cant go directly to street isnt?

One another item Joe if you could comment on. Can you address determining when to add on help and what to pay them?

Re: Mobile Auto Detailing for DOLLARS!!!
With a businessman mind set you hire employees right away. Us detailers get caught up in being the tech and the boss. We wear all the hats!! OK , back to reality.... I started as a one man operation. I hired when I got busy. I was coming home dead tired and was booked weeks out. So to answer your question - you hire when you can sustain your employees with work and be profitable.
I have always started above min. wage. Usually $2 more. I hire people with very little practical knowledge of detailing. Hiring detailing forum members in the past has paid off well. They have their foot in the door and already have the detailing mind set. I need just to slap them in the face with real world reality on how a real deal in the trenches detail company works.
