Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
I recently used the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 as my last step product, (LSP), on a
1957 Chevrolet with phenomenal results and I'd like to share my thoughts from first hand experience.
First, this is a unique product in that it's technically classified as a paint sealant but creates the kind of gloss and depth you'd expect to see from a high-end Carnauba wax. So you get the best of both worlds, you get the protection and longevity of a synthetic polymer paint sealant and the deep, wet shine of a Carnauba paste wax.
Second, this is what's referred to as a
finishing wax or more specifically, a
finishing paint sealant. This means it's intended to be used on a painted finish in new or like new condition. The surface should be smooth and glossy, free from any contamination, stains or defects like swirls, scratches, water spots and oxidation.
Using detailing clay to insure good bonding or adhesion
Before applying Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
or any wax or paint sealant, you always want to first inspect the paint after washing and drying the car to see if it needs to be clayed first. The reason for this is because if there are any above surface bonded contaminants on the paint, they will interfere with the bonding or adhesion of the protection ingredients in the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant formula or any wax or paint sealant.

Tips and Tricks for using detailing clay
If you have a brand new car then this would be a
top shelf choice to help keep your car's paint in pristine condition. If you have a car that's a few years old then before using this product you would want to first prepare the paint by using at least one of the complimentary products in the Wolfgang line to remove any swirls and scratches and then polish the paint to a high gloss.
Preparing the paint by hand
For cleaning the paint and preparing the surface for Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant by hand you would use the
Wolfgang Paintwork Polish and Enhancer with a clean, soft foam or microfiber applicator pad.
Preparing the paint by machine
For removing swirls and scratches by machine you would use
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and to polish the paint to a high gloss you would follow the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 with the
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze.
In the example below with the 1957 Chevy I did my prep work by machine. I used
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 to first remove the swirls and scouring left by a previous buffing session (by someone else), followed by the
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze to further refine the results which created a very smooth and defect-free finish. It was after the Finishing Glaze that the paint now qualified as being in
excellent condition.
Now it was time to apply the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 to as I like to say,
put the frosting on the cake. In my situation I applied it by machine on a slow speed setting using a soft foam finishing pad.

Like all liquid paint sealants, you always want to
shake the product well before using to make sure the product is thoroughly mixed for best performance.
Simply twist the bottle back and forth to insure a uniform consistency before using any liquid wax or paint sealant. 
You can of course get excellent results by applying by hand as the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant spreads out and coats-over easily by either method.

Next, you want to apply a very thin coating and allow this coating to dry to a haze before removing, (by hand or machine). If you apply a thin layer of this product it will take around 20 minutes or so to dry to a haze. Once it dried to a haze I removed it using a clean soft, microfiber polishing cloth and wipe-off was effortless. Best of all there were no signs of streaking whatsoever which is a huge benefit to any paint sealant or wax.
About the time I finished wiping the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 off the car the owner came back from some errands and saw his prized possession and said this is how he always envisioned the car to look, as though it were just painted, as though the paint looked wet,
fresh out of the paint booth. And that's how it looked.
There was a world of difference between how it looked before when I first arrived to how it looked now whether sitting in his shop or outside in the daylight. All the body lines or
gloss points were just as they should be, glossy and reflective from any light source that shined on the car. The paint simply glistens.

Wow! look at the paint on that 1957 Chevy!
Besides that dramatic visual change in the paint, the paint was also incredibly slick, whether you felt it with your hand or wiped it with a microfiber towel. The slickness on the surface was immediately noticeable and striking to your sense of touch.
Another unique feature about this paint sealant is that the manufacture claims that the protection ingredients are oxygen-activated, this means that after initial wipe-off of the sealant, (after it has dried to a haze), the protection ingredients continue to cure throughout a 12-hour window of time.

I had to leave when the job was over and thus return the car back to the owner and I left him with some Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 so he could maintain the slick, high gloss results on his own. Just like all my customers, I explained to him just like I posted above and that's to wash or wipe the car clean first and then apply a thin coating and allow it to dry to a haze before removing using a good quality microfiber polishing cloth. I also made some recommendations for how to carefully wash the car should the need arise.
I like trying out new products but I especially like trying out new waxes and paint sealants. If you're looking to try out a paint sealant that's easy to use and delivers show car results effortlessly then consider Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 but do be sure the paint you're working on is in the right condition for a finishing paint sealant and you won't be disappointed.
