Ultima Interior Gaurd + on fabric?

Hey,

Ultima Interior Guard Plus 12 oz., interior protectant, rubber & vinyl protectant, dash dressing

I have heard a lot of good things about this product so I added this to my order which should be arriving soon. I noticed that it says it can be used on cloth seats also and was wondering if anyone is doing this or tried it for that purpose.

Most of the description barely mention it and CarPros site list goes in to it a little more, but not much.

Did you try it on fabric? I have some and was hoping to use it on my cloth upholstery in my big horn but can't find any feedback from people using it on carpet or cloth

I've used it in a pinch and didn't see issues. Made the spot on the fabric bead though!!!

I use it all the time on fabric. Works great IMO. I just spray it on the applicator that is supplied and work it into the fabric. It keeps fabrics cleaner longer, make clean up easier and certainly gives a very rich type feel to the fabric. I use it on seats and carpets BTW.

UIGP is water-based now? So it's not like the Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant? Because that certainly makes the UIGP more versatile if you can use it on fabrics.

Nope, I never did really try it out on fabric.

Setec, I believe it's still solvent based, or at least it really smells like it is.

I think Trim and Tire Gaurd is water base now though.

Hmm...so maybe that means those of us who are prone to experiment could try the WCTS on fabric...although I don't think it will be me.

Yes, I have used it on carpet and seats. The Wife would use a coffee cup that did not have the no spill type top on it which would leave droplets of coffee on the carpet under the cup holder. It was frustrating getting those stains out of the carpet. I sprayed the carpet in that area with UIGP and rubbed it in with my fingers......... problem solved. When used on the seats it does give a velvety feel.
