    Need help spending my money...!!

Ok, so i sold a car that i fixed up for $3300.

I want to buy some detailing stuff.

    I already got a steamer.

I got a great deal on a brand new Mytee Lite II, so I bought that yesterday.

Now, I need some foam pads.

I have the Harbor Freight DA, and like everyone says, the backing pad sucks. So, i've ordered a 5" backing pad., Should I get a 5.5" as well?

Now, I need some decent foam pads.

    What do you guys suggest?

    Also...Flex 3401 or the Rupes 21 ?

I'm looking to seriously up my game here. And i need to get my order in before the Autogeek deadline today.

Rupes or Flex? Just get both lol (Kidding unless you want to)

I would go with a 21 and add on the 5" backing plate.

I am not sure if you could do this with a harbor freight DA, but I would get a 3" backing plate for it. (That's what I did with my PC and couldn't be happier)

Also, I honestly don't know how I went without out one. Until I drove my car into the Meguiar's garage, and I was shocked from what I saw with their lighting. Yes the Brinkman light works great but having something hands free is a must have. IMO

Not sure on your lighting situation for your work area, but go to your local Home Depot or Lowe's and buy yourself a Halogen shop light that stands on a tripod, bought mine for $27 + $8 for a lower wattage replacement light. (Went from 500watts to 300watts)

Having a foam gun is fun too. Not absolutely necessary, but fun nevertheless. Get the 1/4 the 1/2 is pretty big unless your going to be doing big cars.

So what do you already have?

If you decide to purchase lighting, there is a great thread on AGO.

Make sure the reflective surface is white instead of silver.
