Re: Top 10 products you wouldn't be able to detail without...

What? No machines on the lists? Gotta fix that.

    1. Flex 3401 with at least an orange and red pad.
    2. Pad Washer
    3. Grit Guard in the bucket
    4. Waffle weave microfiber drying towels
    5. Good microfiber towels for paint and interior
    6. Good microfiber wash mitt
    7. Good wheel brush (currently using a Meguiar's brush that I love)
    8. 3M green masking tape
    9. Good shop vac with tips that fit between the seats
    10. Nitrile gloves

Those are literally the things I need to detail. There are too many products out there to narrow it down to which ones I have to have. A good detailer can put monkey sweat on a pad and get results I think. At least that's how I feel Mike Phillips could do it. Give me a compound and a foam pad and I'll find a way to get results. I can go to any AutoZone and find products to get me results, but without the above mentioned list I will have a really hard time using them well. You need a machine and good washing system and the other things listed. Honestly I think the list is much longer than just 10, but those are the first 10 things I would suggest anyone getting started crosses off their list. The ridiculous amount of products they collect will come later.
