    Busted bolt?

Mid polish today, tomorrow I have surgery and I'm done for weeks. Sheared off the bolt holding the backing plate! Now what?

Maybe drill it in the middle and use a left handed easy out?

Unless there is a way to remove that's part. Like with the bearing and get that piece replaced

I think the easy out is about your only shot. Bolt should be easy to find.

*Left handed drill bit. That way it doesn't tighten as you're drilling

Yeah, drill and screw extractor is the way to go. Any of your big box tool stores will have it. Unless it's a special bolt, I did a guick search online and found the Flex factory replacement bolt online for 99 cents + 5 bucks to ship. I'd get a few extras. If you were closer I'd do it for you.
