Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

I have yet to have any problem with my Flex back plate and I hope I never will, but I feel confident should a situation occur, the good folks at AG will stand behind use 100 percent. This is one of the perks of dealing with a top drawer company.

Thanks for chiming in Meghan. I already emailed Dwyane and I believe he already working on it. It is difficult to communicate by phone due to the time difference. I believe AG is reputable company, and thats why I always bought my detailing supplies from AG. I'm just not sure how FLEX will response to this problem.

You shouldn't have to tighten it. It's brand new!!

Obviously your perception is incorrect as users HAVE had the need to tighten on receipt - keep in mind the units that were shipped out with the new BP were retrofitted by the vendor and NOT flex.. this retrofit COULD lend itself to loose BP's

Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

I have yet to experience a problem with my Flex. Before I used it the first time I did take the backing plate off just to check it out. I did put it back on tight but it didn't seem to be loose. I never apply much pressure when polishing. I let the machine, pad and polish do the work. If it's not cutting it I adust the speed and/or change the pad and/or polish until I get the right combination to do a good job.

Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

No issues with mine so far. I have used it on three details with no issues. I did tighten my BP before I used it though.

Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

I hope for all concerned that it's as simple as the plate not being snugged up securely. Am I correct in assuming that a wrench for doing so comes with the product?

Re: FLEX XC3401 problem

Thanks Bud. Is there just one set screw that holds the plate to the mechanism?
