Flex 3401 heat question.

I called Flex about this and was told if it gets too hot there is a sensor inside and it will shut down until it's cool enough to use again.

It is normal for this machine to generate heat. Even more so when you crank it up to the higher speed settings.

Heat is a by product of the forced/gear driven design. 3401 is the most "mechanical" type polisher available.
