Unhappy Cleaning pads

What is the best way to dry PC foam pads after washing/rinsing out?

Hi!
You are going to get a lot of answers to this question, but here is why I do and my pads are just fine: dry them on low/delicate for a short while. You can always let them dry part of the way or all of the way. If it conducive, you could probably let them dry outside.

Welcome, good luck, and happy new year!
Lauren

just put them on your pc/rotary and just turn it on in a sink or something cause it will throw water. But it gets 90% of the water out adn the rest you can air dry

I put my PC on 6 and let her rip! Make sure you are away from anything that you don't want to get wet. I have dish drainer I set them in to finish drying.

Question 1: Can you wash pads the same way as MF? Will MF Restore work well? Low heat w/ blue dryer balls?

Question 2: What's the best method to use XMT Pad cleaner. Spray and wipe how?

personally i wouldnt put pads in the dryer. Its much easier to let them just sit outside or something. Microrestore works pretty well but not quite as well as DP Pad cleaner or WolfGangs pad cleaner. And the xmt pad cleaner is good but didnt work well with optimum or other non xmt polishes/compounds. When using xmt cleaner just rub it with your hands under warm/hot water and use a pad brush for the tough stuff. In all honesty i didnt have luck with any pad cleaners. I have had the best luck first spraying the pads with purple power full strength and then using dawn and a pad brush to finish them off. This is the only combo that i have tried that makes the pads looking brand new even when using optimum compounds which are very diffacult to get out of pads. Just my 2 cents.

To clean, I use XMT pad cleaner. A few spritzes, then massage it in and the polish/wax will literally melt away and rinse out easily.

To dry, I put the pad back on the PC and hold it down inside the wash bucket to contain the splatter, then turn it on to 6. That gets about 80% of the water out, then put the pad inside a towel and stand on it. Then air dry, works like a champ for me
