DP Xtreme Foam Car Wash Hey AG!!! What's going on?! First off, I would like to say thank you to Buckskincolt for sending me a couple of samples without asking anything in return. Just shows how great the AG community really is. :xyxthumbs: This review might be a little too late but here goes... I got a 3oz sample. The moment I opened the container, I smelled a very slight peppermint scent. I'm not sure if this is something I want or not. It just smelled weird for a car soap. The first thing I noticed is the soap's consistency; it's VERY THICK. I poured the all of it in my foam gun container and filled the rest with water. I put the foam gun's setting in "C" and boy does it produce a lot of foam. Even at this setting, the foam coming out was almost comparable to the thickness of a foam cannon. I was amazed!!! I should have tried putting it in setting "E" to see what happens but I didn't want to waste what I had. I tried to step it down a notch at setting "B" and it was still producing ridiculous amounts of foam. I used this setting to wash the car. All in all, the product lives up to its name, xtreme foam. If you want a soap that will produce the most suds and be as close to a foam cannon then look no further. |
Re: DP Xtreme Foam Car Wash What does everyone thing of the soap's slickness and ability to resist scratches/swirls? Also, is this soap strong? I mean does it remove a big portion of the car's wax? |
Re: DP Xtreme Foam Car Wash All the car wash soaps I use including DP Xtreme Foam are formulated not remove the protective sealants or waxes from the cars finish. I use this in my Foam Gun as well and if I remember correctly a sample of it was included with the purchase. This soap does product inordinate amounts of foamy suds and works very well. |
Re: DP Xtreme Foam Car Wash There was a time in my detailing life when I thought foam guns were the coolest thing going in the detail business. Now I have no use for them whatsoever. I have not seen any evidence over the years...that they lift and loosen dirt off the surface of the paint any better than a conventional wash done correctly. In fact I think the new rinse-less wash products do more to lift and loosen dirt off paint than anything a foam gun can accomplish...not to mention saving a heck of a lot of time in the process. Rinseless wash products have changed my entire washing routine, and I get amazing results EVERY time. I just don't use rinse-less wash products in the winter...I use them exclusively now to wash...period. My foam gun is used only now in the garden. |
