DP Sealant Final Thoughts

Well, I feel it has finally worn off. It still sheets off and looks good after a wash, but the beading and feeling of it is gone. As a result I had to top it with Pinnacle. I could not hold out any longer I feel for my personal taste it needed another coat or topping.

On a side note since the initial review the car has sat outside 24/7 in a tropical depression, lots of rain ect..

Honestly I was hoping for more durability. It may have been there, but beading was gone on surfaces that are exposed to direct sun.

Would I buy it again, not sure yet. It depends on the price break.

Will I continue to use it, YES until it is gone.

Will I recommend it to others; well I am not to sure?

I feel durability is equal to the original, is it better than wolf gang sealant, well not sure, I would say equal.

Is poor boys better, possibly.

Is it worth a try, Yes

DP is the sealant to try. I ordered mine this weekend. Can't wait to try it. Got digital camera ready too(finally!). So hopefully will have some pics ready by end of next week or something.

I washed my wifes car this week. 1st time in a couple of weeks since I applied DP's. Used PB's WW and finished with a light mist of S&G. The finish looks perfect. This stuff gives WGDGS a real run for it's money.

My minivan's hood and front fenders has 1 layer of the new DP slealant over AIO, its maintained by PB S&W and CK QS....
This was applied about 3 weeks ago... and its RAINED AND RAINED since then.....
It still beads very well....

I also have just a single layer on my cars roof for a test comparison.... this was done 3 weeks ago today. It beads just as well as the rest of the car which has EX-P plus MaxWax. This is also a daily driver and outside 24x7. I do not S&W the roof... its only been washed 1 time since application.
So far, I like it....

My only gripe.... WHATS WITH THE 12oz BOTTLES!!??!!??

well if you are using the sealant correctly, one ounce should more than adequately do a full truck or limo. So we should get 15 cars out of the bottle. My bottle of Duragloss was also same size and I believe Zaino is close.

It still looked nice after this last wash where I topped it with Pinnacle, but I felt by touch and just gut feeling the protection was starting to go a little.

It was on at least 6-8 (I Think)weeks from the first post about it. I am in Orlando, Fl and drive it every day. At home it sat under a laurel oak and got sapped at times too. I used no QD in between washes too.

I am not disappointed, not blown away either. DP polishes so far have been great to apply, work and remove. I have corrected many black cars recently with those products. It could be I also like the look and feel of a carnauba topper after a few coats of sealant.

Now if max wax went on sale I would try it. Add to my 2 tins of 16, 2 of pinnacle, 1 natty’s blue. Agh.
