DP Engine Degreaser and P21S Total Auto Wash

In the past I have used P21S Total Auto Wash to degrease my engine and bay and to strip LSP's off my paint. I recently bought so DP Engine Degreaser to substitute of P21S TAW to degrease the engine due to cost savings. It does a pretty good job of degreasing an engine.

Would DP Engine Degreaser be safe to use on my paint? My P21S TAW is running low and I would like to save a litte money. It is a degreaser just like P21S TAW so my guess is it would be fine but I wanted to ask before using it. Thanks for any help you guys/gals can provide.

Re: DP Engine Degreaser and P21S Total Auto Wash

I dont believe Total Wash will remove a sealant although it likely will remove some/all of a carnauba wax. The engine cleaner from DP is likely a tad stronger, but I still dont like using APC's on paint. Why not just use Iso Alcohol when in a pinch ??

Re: DP Engine Degreaser and P21S Total Auto Wash

They cost about the same. If you really want savings, buy a gallon of DP, or 5 liter jug of P21S. I know that P21S is paint friendly, I'm sure so is DP. I used ZEP citrus degreaser from Home Depot ($8 a gallon) cut 1:1 and never had any issues...
