I use surf city on the recommendation of others that live on a dirt road. I like it but I am a newbie here. My question is this time for me to clean the tires/exterior. Do I go ahead with a good tire scrub and reapply or just suds down and that should be good. I know if I apply more it will look better but in the interst of saving some $$ I was hoping it might be ok.

Kinda stupid question but I am always looking for advice from others that have been down this road.

Cheers
Mike

A nice tire spray dressing would be Optimum Tire Shine. A little less gloss then DP tire gel though.

What I would personally do if I lived on a dirt road, use a very light degreaser when you do a maintenance wash and apply a water based dressing such as hyper dressing and alternate using your "true tire dressing" with every other wash or so. It won’t result in your tires being as glossy or wet looking but it will keep them black. Give the dp a try and you'll see that once it has cured, nothing will really stick to it (if applied properly)

hope that helps you

Re: DP Gloss Tire Gel

The DP Tire Shine is awesome, I took a bottle of to BMW Sharkfest this year and was putting it on peoples car, there was a show&shine and a lot of people forgot to bring tire shine..., it got nothing but fantastics compliments. I even had alot left After I busted the cap on Tail Of The Dragon..
