Spots under paint protection

Hey fellow geeks. I've had my 2012 Sierra for 6 months now. I took it in last Saturday to have the paint protection put on(it was included). I was going to wash and clay the night before but got home from work too late. After I picked the truck up I got home and started to look it over. I saw spots(birds droppings, bug droppings etc). They put on this protection without fully cleaning the truck. I've tried a QD, but it won't penetrate the coating. How would I get these out? Thanks for your input.

Re: Spots under paint protection

I would call the dealership and let them know that they didnt do it correctly. I upset the dealer when they did my wifes Acadias coating. They had to take it back to the back 3 times before i was even remotely satisfied with the finish.

They should definitely take care of issues as big as coating over bird crap.

Another

by a dealership:

Now you may have to:
-Call them about their misuse of the "paint protection" you paid for inadvance
-Ask for a re-do of your "paint-protection" ---after you clean/polish the unclean-areas
-Be further inconvenienced due to extra trips back & forth to dealership

Or...
-Fugettaboutit---Clean/polish/protect it yourself.

When you go back in six months for the (warranty?) re-application of their paint-protection...
they'll probably never know the difference!

Bob

EDIT: Forgot to ask: What polishes do you have?
And this:

Re: Spots under paint protection

I was thinking it was the Xzilon coating, but you dont have to have it reapplied, its a 5 year sealant.....or at least the warranty they put on it is 5 years.

I was wondering I had to buy a paint protection when I bought my Camaro...it actually worked great. It was called Quantum...from what information I was able to get about the product it seems to be similar to EXO...

Re: Spots under paint protection

I have the klasse kit-AIO & S/G. The paint protection was originally auto butler but the dealership said that change to a new protection. Already have an appointment to go back.
