Agh I cannot decide on what to do. I want to get the flex rotary for 169$ but the pads are expensive.

once i saw the email i went ahead to purchase the Flex 3401, but the only discount i got was free shipping... is $299 for the polisher alone the "sale" price ?? or is it 20% off that ? or does it not apply to the Flex 3401 ?

I got my confirmation for signing up to receive the Newsletters on 6-18-09, but I did not receive this newsletter.
Any ideas why?
