Diamondite bug eraser

I ONRed the pilot today and had lots of bugs from a recent trip to Memphis. I used the Diamondite Bug Eraser™ Waterless Bug Remover, bug cleaner, Diamondite bug remover to remove the bugs. I was amazed how quick they came off with minimal effort with the bug sponge. I had a new coat of OCW on it from 2 weeks ago.

Does the bug remover remove the LSP?

Do I need to hit the affected area with more OCW?

Re: Diamondite bug eraser

I generally re-apply a spray wax (Optimum Car Wax) with every other application of the Diamondite Bug Eraser. I don't think it's necessary with all LSP's, but as quick and easy as Optimum Car Wax (and other spray waxes for that matter) is to apply and remove, it's worth taking the extra minute to apply a quick coat to the area treated with the Bug Eraser. This ensures that there is even coverage of wax to protect the vehicle, enhance the shine, and make future bug removal easier. This applies to all bug/tar removal products.

Re: Diamondite bug eraser

Thanks for the info. I did order some of the protectant. I didn't know if the OCW was ok or if I needed the other. I was amazed at how well the bugs came off. I like it alot better because you can ONR behind it where with the solvent based products I feel the need to spray rinse.

Re: Diamondite bug eraser

I use the crystal gloss Diamondite Crystal Gloss™ Surface Protectant, Diamondite paint protectant for my final detail spray and it's works great. If you use the bug eraser follow it with the CG and the bugs fall of the next time. Great combo and try the CG on the rest of your car too you will like it.
