Wow what an improvement!
My side mirrors are severely swirled. I dont know what the previous owners did, but it looks like typical paint swirls except on glass. How is that even possible? Washed it with a scotchbrite/steel wool?
Can that dimondite be used hy hand? No way I could get a DA on my mirror glass.

most mirror glass pops out, or just replace the glass itself. should be able to find it not too expensive for a new oem fit piece.

Is the Diamondite Resurfacing Creme much different from CeriGlass?

First off, my apologies to Mike and the Autogeek crew for the long delay time in posting my closure to this, as they went above and beyond to help me fix this situation. I had sent Mike a quick email, but have been really busy and haven't had time to touch the car or this thread. | Thank you so much for the follow-up! All to often people join the forum with problems, get help and then we never hear from them again. While it's always satisfying knowing you've helped others, the follow-up is really appreciated. Anyways, just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Mike and AG for the excellent customer support, their assistance on this project. I'll definitely be a lifetime customer, and have already recommended this site to many friends. | Thank you! |

Going thru the same thing on my car. Lake country 4" leveling discs with Ceri-Glass on a GG marred my glass like what the OP had.
I then used the 4" levelling discs with Meguiars D300 and got them minimized pretty good however there still are VERY FINE small swirls that can only be seen at night with headlights in your face and you looking for them.
Where can i buy the pads & polish used?

Just curious, anyone try Poor Boys polishes on glass, as most (all?) say on the bottle they can be used for glass. I used the Ceri Glass with the LC pads also with an original PC 7424. I did remove my scratches and make a vast improvement. I got nothing like some of you guys got. It looked pretty good and seems clear when driving, as before scratches where in the path of the wiper. However, it did leave what looks like tick marks, micro marring, DA haze on the windshield which is very faint and can't be seen from the Drivers seat (looks clear). None the less, even though it's cosmetic, I would like to remove it. I'm wondering what combo would be aggressive enough to remove this, but not so aggressive to creat more scratches. Since I don't have a rotary or access to the Diamondite Resurfacing product, I'm thinking of trying one of the PBs polishes with a yellow LC foam pad.

Just to bring this up...
I plan on going to town on my windshield this spring. I ordered this kit: Diamondite® Glasswork System Kit for Machine Application [ ]We Are Car Care -- Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detailing Supplies, Car Buffers & Car Accessories Store
After reading this post I have questions to weather or not this kit will sufficeintly resurface the glass. The kit came with an ORANGE pad not a flat white cutting pad.
Will I need to order the white cutting pads?
or
Will the orange pad be sufficient?
Id like to avoid the same mistake as others.

I would try the orange pad that comes in the kit first. Despite what the description says, Ceri is IMO an extreme step for serious glass problems. I would suggest it be used with extreme caution. The kit you have will bring about considerable improvement in the glass. Next step would be the glass polishing pads with the chemical from Diamondite. Last ditch effort would be Ceri with glass cutting pad. I have seen even the BEST detailers mar a windshield with polishing attempts.
