OK so I've read just about every post here but I still need a little advice. Im polishing a 2006 blue Dodge Durango with 11,000 miles on it. It does have some minor swirl marks. I am trying to decide which polish to use. I want to start out light so I can save to clear for later on down the road when and if I need to use the DP super swirl remover with the orange LC pad.
I am debating on using the DP finial finishing polish or OPT polish older version with a white LC pad. I have the 6.5 and the 4" pads. I plan on following the polishing up with DG101 and then sealing with DG 105. Can I leave the polish on while I do the whole truck(DP or OPT), or is it polish then wipe move to a new section. 2nd how much time should I wait between the DG101 and the DG105? I do have some before pics if that helps, although I was planning on posting the before and after pics all at once. As always thanks so much for your input and wish me luck.
PS the truck has been washed and clayed then blown dry and blotted...its in the garage just waiting.....

with a white (low abrasive) LC pad, you can use either polish with great results, and both will act like a final polish. With Optimum you will polish longer and see a little less dust, but DP product is easy to use. Remember to keep speed on high and get at it ..... pics are nice !!

Start with the least agressive pad / polish comboif you post pictures it will really help us tell you what you need

Polish, wipe it, check it..if it's ok??? move on ........

Wait 24 hrs after applying DG101, before applying DG105. Is DG105 your LSP?
Waiting for pics!! :D

do a test area. I usually pick a spot and use a middle of the road solution, eg LC Orange or Edge Green with oh say SSR 2.5, XMT3, or OC. Depending on how much or how little removed, I would step up my pad up or down.

ok let me size and upload the pics.

ok so 4x6 was to big sorry guys and gals. So what do you think. white with OPT gonna take care of this or orange with DP super swirl remover or with OPT? And yes I was planning on using DG 105 as my lsp. Wouldnt putting a coat of Natty's defeat the protection of theDG105. or just be over kill?

You could top DG105 with DG951(Aquawax) after the 105 cures for 24 hrs, or Natty's is fine too. I thnk Surfer uses that on his vehicle. It wouldn't be overkill.

oh I forgot I had AW. Yes that is going on last. Thanks for reminding me. The white pad did knock out some of the imperfections it wasnt quite enough so I switched to the orange LC pad and it is gonna do the trick. I will check back on breaks. Thanks again everyone.
