One year old boat, light oxidation (pics) & rotary, which product??

Hello folks. First post here looking for some advice. My boat is just over one year old and the hull is black (gelcoat). There is some very light oxidation and I would like to take care of it before it gets out of control.

I already have a rotary buffer and some wool pads. I also have the Ultima Paint Guard Plus for my car which I plan to seal the boat with after I remove the oxidation.

Which product would you guys recommend for the rotary and which pads (if you don't recommend using the wool pads)?

Been looking at the Duragloss 501, 3M Finesse it, and the Marine31 AIO.

Also, the boat has the decals that are clear thick plastic. Can I go slow and easy over those with the rotary and be ok?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will add some pics later today for reference.

Is it paint on the gelcoat or actually gelcoat ?. I just did my 5th wheel which I considered mild oxidation but that stuff is tough. Finally used 3M superduty and the heaviest cutting wool pad I have. I then used 601/501 to clean it up then 601/105 for at least a year of longevity. I did go across all my decals at a slow speed without incidence.

Thanks for the advice Dave. It is gelcoat not paint.

If that is oxidation and not surface grime on your last picture.

I would go with something as davidc previously mentioned....

That's allot of oxidation for 1 yr. even for black in a subtropical climate.

I would try the Marine 31 AIO. I used Garry Deans Gel Coat AIO on my hull with good results. I do not have a rotary, just my Flex with aggressive pads and was pleased how much oxidation it pulled off.

I don't know how many days you spend on the water, but I tried the UPGP in the past and has so-so durability in salt water.
