How to polish wheels?

Ok I need the steps to strip the paint off my wheels and the what do I need to polish them out so they look like chrome.
Step 1. Stripper the paint kind.
2. sanding wheels grit.
metal polish what kind and then wax to handle the road grim, oil-dirt-tar.ect...

Wheels well stay on bike when doing this job.

This is a detailing forum so you probably won't get a lot of help. I've never stripped paint off of a wheel before but I do know is that it'll be a ton of work and it'd be impossible to do it with the wheels still on the bike. What kind of metal is on the wheels? If they are aluminum then you can go ahead and polish them up to a chrome like shine but you'll have to polish them every month to keep them from oxidizing. Using a wheel sealant will prolong the polishing to 3-4 months. Or when you get the shine to your liking, have it clear coated so you won't have to keep polishing them. Chrome is incredibly strong and doesn't require polishing so if you really want the look of chrome wheels, you might as well chalk up the money and get them plated...
