So you are not supposed to wash in the sun...
Sorry for creating so many topics... I just had some questions that I wanted answered, and it took a few days for my account to get approved...
I have read many of the posts on all of the sections of these forums and one thing I have noticed again and again is how important it is to not wash your car in the sun.
The problem is, I do not have a garage that I can use for washing my car in, and there is no place with any shade around my house anywhere.
Has anyone else been in this situation? And what did you do to solve the problem?

Well actually its not so much that your not suppose to, its that it can cause problems. If you let the soapy water dry on the car while your washing it, it can create streaks or spots. More common is the problem of getting water spots when drying. Its not bad to wash your car in the sun, its just harder to do a good job. There are a few things you can do. First and most simple keep the car wet while your washing it and dry quickly. Second: buy a in-line water filter, this will reduce water spotting. Third: wash the car in the wee hours of the morning or at dusk. Fourth: Buy a pop up canopy.

I sometimes wash my car under the sun too, but I wash it a section at a time. Just don't let the soap dry off especially on the windscreen. I too sometimes wax my car under the sun, but I use wax on wax off method. So that it doesn't streak or difficult to remove. Hope it helps. I parked my car behind my house's back lane. Most of the time, I could only wash and wax my car outside the back lane.

Just wash your car when the sun isnt out?
They say a man looks after himself the same way he looks after his car.

you can wash a car early in the morning, or late evening...you can still wash your car even in direct sunlight...as long as it is not a black car...wash one section at a time, rinse, and rewet the whole car... follow this process if you don't want any water spots...black cars - wash in the shade...
