Air Conditioned Garage

I have wanted to air condition my garage for quite a while now. It is just too darn hot here most of the year to think straight and not sweat to death while performing any task in the garage.

Yesterday my wish came true and a mini-split system was installed in about 4 hours. I have an insulated garage door and I added insulation in the attic over the garage to help maximize the cooling effort. In about 2-hours the garage was cooler than the house inside and I was a very happy man. This should be quite motivational for any garage related tasks!

I bet it makes the man cave so relaxing and comfortable now. Watch out, you may be spending more time out there than in the house...

My shop is 50x60 cooling it down would be insane, I could only wish and it is starting to get super hot here in Florida, not sure if we can make it another summer, even with all three bays open and 2 big 42" fans its still too hot.

Wow that's a dream addition to any garage. If I had that, I would certainly spend more time in the garage. That'll be extremely helpful in the summer heat especially in a place like Phoenix.

Thank you very much Marc! In my opinion houses in hot climates should come standard with A/C in the garage
