Re: Kleen Wheels

There are a lot of cars in our parking lot with them, if you have stock wheels and have brake dust problems these are a miracle fix.

Re: Kleen Wheels

I've had mine for about 2 years now and wouldn't think of going without them. Had put on ceramic brake pads and thought this would slow down the brake dust, it did help, but still was pretty heavy. The Kleen Wheels eliminated 75% of the brake dust. It has a lifetime warranty on the finish.

A customer and I were talking about these a few days ago and were wondering if the lack of airflow would cause brake fade during heavy stopping?

75% would be nice!

Re: Kleen Wheels

How does it not stop all brake dust? Are they vented a little?

Re: Kleen Wheels

My father in law has them on his Escape and they made a world of difference. I was thinking about putting them on my BMW X3. However, I dont know if I can get over the look. Also, BMW put out a bulletin warning not to use these due to the heat issues mentioned above. It also went on to say that since they are sandwiched between the wheel and the hub, they can have a negative effect on the mounting of the wheel...torque, compression of the Kleen Shield itself. With that said, if I thought I could get over the look (not seeing through to the capliper), I would probably still go with them despite the warning.

Yes, they are vented a little. On the father in laws, I would say it stopped 95% of dust on the Escape.

Re: Kleen Wheels

Years ago I had tried them on my car my car and they worked quite well. Shortly after I installed them I started hearing a lot of reports about over heating brakes because of air flow loss due to them. I'm getting the feeling any issues there were, have been resolved as more and more people are using them with good results.

Re: Kleen Wheels

I've had them for 2 years and all my driving is in the city. Down long hills and stop and go with no brake fade. To give you an example of how much I use my brakes, the OEM pads lasted 10,700 miles.
