Horrible smell inside the car

Someone left a bowl of soup inside my mom's van and it rotted inside the cabin leaving a horrible smell. It literally smells like poop. Anyways, I've been trying to get the smell out and I have used my whole bottle of air odor neutralizer. I also scrubbed the affected area thoroughly. Do you guys have any suggestion on which neutralizer I can use to get rid of this smell? I was using the febreeze air odor neutralizer.

It was in a container that had a lid on it. the lid popped up open and the soup just overflowed onto the carpet.

you need a enzyme cleaner that will eat the odor bacteria...any cover up stuff will shed the odor after they wear off....one product is Odoban does a great job of eliminating odor bacteria.....

If can use a extractor to remove the stain and the smell is still there then use what Al-53 said or Check out sparkle auto for the air fogger, works great. Good luck...........

Pet stores (Pet Smart) sell a lot of enzyme odor killers for obvious reasons. I just picked up a gallon of some there (because of new dog) that smells A LOT like the Duragloss Odor Remover.

Has anyone used the Clean Air Genie Fogger system? It sounds like this may be the solution for me.

Here's another. Seemed like most people who used it, liked it.

Thanks for the link. Looks like I will be putting in an order for the fogger. I'll put up a review of it.
