Sealant question

I worked with the pc for the first time this weekend. I'm concerned with my application of sealant. I applied it and let it sit for a while to haze. However, it didn't haze over totally. There were areas where there didn't seem to be a haze it all. Did I do something wrong?
I used a gray pad, and applied a couple of dots of sealant to the pad. The same as I did when applying the polish. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I wash it and try to reapply the sealant this weekend. I hope this makes sense. I would just hate to have all the work with the polish go to waste. Is it better to apply the sealant by hand?

thanks

In case you didn't see my post in show and shine...it's amazing what some polish and a pc can do

You're actually fine. Some sealants need to haze anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes to remove clean, and some you can remove as you go. That said, a sealant will streak if not allowed to haze properly, in your case, that doesn't seem to be a problem. Streaking would've indicated you did something wrong

I love applying sealant with my LC Gray Pad. I normally apply slow for good coverage, but keeping it thin

I doesn't sound like to did anything wrong to me although I like to apply sealant by hand. Your work on the hood looks good. The paint looked to be in pretty bad shape. What kind of sealant did you use?

I used the poorboys sealant with carnuba. Since I ordered the pc kit with the pb polishes, I figured I would just stick with the same product and order their sealant. I would think that if the sealant didn't go on properly , I would be able to tell the next time I wash. If I have doubts, I'll just put a layer of wax on it. And yes, the paint was horrible. I don't think it had been waxed in over five years, at least. I was shocked that it turned out as well as it did.

And to think none of this would be possible had I not found this forum

with a machine you cannot regulate how much sealant you have added to paint, the way you can by hand. As such you likely had areas with extra or more sealant that necessary and thus did not cure completely and haze over.
