Short review- PB Spray and Rinse

Poorboy's Spray and Rinse. I think that's all I really need to say- spray and rinse . It's not only the name of the product but also the directions. Very easy to use and quite effective. Remember that this is a professional grade product and you should take certain precautions while using this product. In my case I had a lot of brake dust, dirt, grease, and grime which I wanted to see removed. I rinsed the wheel off, sprayed some S&R on, let sit for about 2-3 minutes, and hosed off. Huge improvement. Not perfect but big difference. So instead of taking the time (and using more product) to keep trying to remove everything with just the S&R I decided to scrub what I could. I'm not looking for having them 100% perfect but just looking respectable. And for the 6-7 minutes it took, I am very happy with the results. Conclusion is that if you have stubborn brake dust or work on vehicles that have a lot of it! PB S&R should be in your arsenal. It's easy enough to use, it'll save you time, and the results speak for themselves.

Before:

Hosed off:

S&R applied:

S&R rinsed off (no scrub)

After a little scrubbing:

And a little half and half picture:

I'll try to take some pics of a normal cleaning with S&R to update this thread. Or if you have before and after pictures of S&R feel free to add them to this thread. Hope you like the pictures.

This is another product that I'd like to try. Thanks for the review and the pics especially the 50/50.

Nice review. Poorboy's Spray and Rinse is a nice strong wheel cleaner. I still have to try my bottle out. Wanna try it on at least one month of brake dust build up, always seem to wash my wheels every wash.

I like to use S&R with a foamer sprayer, makes the product dwell on the surface longer. It use a little bit more though

It's not the only one... There is a reason why it is labeled as a professional product... not for the inexperienced. I don't see how you would need to use S&R on a daily basis and since it is so strong I wouldn't suggest it. This is a great product to use on very dirty wheels or intricate wheels that get a lot of brake build up.

As for the 50/50, I used photoshop. I had the camera on a tripod so I was hoping for it to be exact... but I bumped it so its not perfect. It is a cool perspective though... really shows the difference.

I suppose your right, I like to use my BBS approved wheel cleaner, or for tougher wheels I use some 303 aero space cleaner.

I love PB S&R. But Im experimenting with a new water based cleaner that is supposedly stronger, but safer then PB. A lot cheaper too!

it should be noted that is citric acid based, not hydrofloric acid or lye based like most common off the shelf wheel cleaners.

I would also note you should use it as directed. Wet wheels first, make sure wheels are cool and not uncoated, spray liberally, let sit, and rinse well.
