Question Ok guys, how do you create the stripes on the carpet?

I know this is a dumb question, and I am sure I have read it somewhere before, but...?
How?
Thank you lots!

Lauren

I think they use a brush and run it back and forth in even strokes.

if you are using and extractor or wet vac...just go in alternating directions...if you are using just a vaccuum just mist with a little water or folex and run the suction attachment in alternating directions....or go in one direction over the entire carpet...and then stripe it by running the suction attachment in even intervals

Wet vac for me in alternating directions. The matts have to be fairly damp to leave well defined lines. Usually don't want to get interior carpet too wet and have it soak into the padding. It can cause all sorts of problems, mildew, odor, etc. So most often matts only for stripes and get creative with vac design in the interior.

I had just posted when I saw this. Yes you can. I soak matts (pw) and then use the LGM to pull up the H2O. I usually put stripes in with the wet vac, but you could do the same with the LGM.

I tried this on my dads car the other day, carpet was completely dry when I did it. Turned out pretty cool IMO.
