2 Bucket system wash

Can someone explain this?

Well it's two buckets, one bucket has soap and the other one has clean water just water. As you dip your shmitt in the bucket with soap you then wash the surface of the paint...instead of dipping it back in the bucket with soap you sip it in the bucket with clean water. The point is to remove any dirt or anything that would scratch the surface of your vehicle. Once the shmitt is clean then you go back to your bucket with soap and proceed.

I've never used this method and the first time I did it I was amazed at how dirty the bucket with just water looks at the end.

Well at least I hope I'm doing it properly lol.
