newbe neeeds advice for detailing car

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum business but leaning quick. I belong to another one that concentrates on my car specifically. ( rennlist) I have a 2005 911 (997) Porsche caborlet. I'm lookin for some advice on how I should wax or polish (whatever the correct term is ) my car. and what products I should use to do this. I'ts artic silver with black interior. I've been wondering arund this site now about an hour . it's very well informed and answered a number of questions for me already. Lookin foward to hearing from someone soon

There are so many good products and so many areas in detailing it makes it tough to write an overview. Here's a good place to start...

My current favorite line of polishes is the Optimum line. I suggest you purchase a PC or Cyclo along with a few different grades of pads. Microfibers are a must. There are many great sealants and waxes: Pinnacle, Poorboy's, Four Star, Duragloss...
