Water Spots

Maybe the water spotting has been here all the time, but with a black car, I seem to notice the water spots more (I've always owned white cars since moving to Atlanta).

I was thinking of a "whole house" water conditioner ?? Or should I stick with something in-line to the hose ??

Any recommendations appreciated.

If you have well water I would definitely have a water softener and conditioner. If you have bad water dry the car off as fast as possible before before the water has a chance to dry on your car. If some water spots form before you dry it, clean them off with paint cleaner or polish right away. I have had good luck getting old water spots off caused from my sprinker system using swirl remover.

waterspots are likely mineral deposits (hard water) or acid rain. Both need to be removed rather quickly or can etch the clearcoat.

I had hard water spots from the sprinkler system from the summer. I got a pc for xmas and it was 24 and sunny so at noon I went out and used the pc and got all my water spots out. Now when spring comes i'll get all my swirls out. I justed need to have the peace of mind that those water spots could be removed and they are so now i'm happy. All I have to worry about is the swirls in the spring now and i'm 100 percent sure I can get those out with some hard work.

I'm going to be purchasing that 2 part filtration system for my mobile business. The plan is this: Purchase a semi-cheap dolley from Lowe's or Home Depot. Mount a piece of plywood on the back and then screw in the two canister's with a 4" hose inbetween. I'll have quick connects on both sides for quick access. Being on the back side of the dolley, i'll still have the front in case i'll ever need to move anything and I can easily roll it around whereever I plan too.

I took Sparkie's advice ... pulled the trigger on a deluxe water filter system. A little trip to the local home depot (mounting hardware, posts, scrap wood) and here are the finished results ..

Looks great man!! When I do mine, I'm just gonna use one of those 4" kink protecting hoses for inbetween the two filters.

Have you used it yet??!?!?! Noticed a difference?

That is one nice setup! Awesome!

I'm assuming that with a setup like this waterspots are impossible?
