Meg's soft buff pads on a boat?

Hello, i bought a g110v2 last summer with the soft buff kit and some extra pads. can those work on gel coat? My dad want's to give a try to the new machine but i'm not sure those pads are ment for gel coat. also, can m105 work on gel coat? i know it does mirracle on paint, even metal but on gel coat?

thanks for the answer !

Which pads do you have? The burgundy pads will work fine on gel coat to remove light oxidation, but anything with less cut will most likely not be very effective. As far as M105, it works wonders on gel coat. If you're dealing with severe oxidation, you might want to follow with Meguiar's Marine Polish to feed some oils into the gel coat.

i got cutting pads, polishing and finishing pads. my dad does a compound every year and after that a wax. I'll tell him to give a try to m105 with the cutting pad for light imperfections, he does wool/rotary with some other compound normaly.
