still confused!!!

i'm still a little confused about claying. how do you know if you need to clay the vehicle? under what circumstance would you use the cleansing lotion... when you don't have to clay the vehicle or after claying? please help!!

does meguires clay deteriorate in soapy solution???

Yes, read that. The quick and easy answer is that if you run your hand over the paint and it doesn't feel nice and smooth, you need to clay.

cleansing lotion is used after clay and before the protection (wax). Now if you are polishing then skip the lotion as a chemical cleaner only.
