New stuff!

Hey, I took advantage of the recent sales and ordered some stuff. Quick question. What is the difference between the Menzerna Power Gloss, and the Meguiar's M105? Theyre supposed to be rated at cutting around 1000grit or so, is there a difference? PS here are some pics because everyone likes pics, nothing exciting though

Re: New stuff!

I think power gloss is meant finish down better and be more of an all in one. M105 should have more cut.

I think have power Gloss mixed up with power finish. As Power Gloss is Menzerna's High Cut compound so it should be close in Cut to 105. Power finish is the newly introduced Menzerna product which cuts from what I heard to SIP.

It is literally one of the best and yet safest wheel cleaners made. I have used it on painted surfaces weekly without issue for more than 2 years. I also use it on my Iforged Custom Wheels which are uncoated aluminum and can stain without almost any product. It needs some light agitation, but quite a knockout on brake dust new and old too.

Re: New stuff!

never used the power gloss but I have used 105. 105 is probably more popular as a compound.

Re: the P21s, if you're taking the wheels off or whatever, the cool thing about p21s wheel cleaner is you can spray it on and no real hurry to remove like some other wheel cleaners. I leave p21s on for 20-30 minutes while I work on something else and not have to worry. On the other hand, my Eagle 1 stuff I never let sit longer than 60 seconds. Of course it's a bit cheaper...LOL
