Cleaning Carpet Stains

This is some information for those looking for carpet cleaning
products with no access to an extractor. I only used hot water,
scrub brush and rigid 6hp shop vac.

A little history on the two cars:

Girlfriends car-severly soiled and stained
carpet, seats, and headliner. She has a six
year old son that rides every day in the car
with capri sun juice boxes, mcdonald's, etc. and
throws everything on the floor or seats.

My car- 1997 thunderbird that sat for years
and was used as the emergency car until recently.
Light soil on carpet with some heavy stains. This car
was always well maintained until it was set aside as the
emergency car.

On my girlfriends car, I used scrubbing bubbles and it did
a very good job. Some stains still remained but were much
lighter.

On my car, first I used woolite shampoo, let it sit and then
scrubbed with brush and hot water and finally vaccummed. I
was not happy with the results. I then tried ammonia/h2o
mix. It did a better job but still not impressed.

Last night I purchased Folex. I have to say this stuff is
amazing. I sprayed the stubborn stain and immediately
scrubbed with a sweatshirt sleeve for a few seconds and blotted
dry with the same sleeve. The stain disappeared and the carpet
was cleaner then the surrounding area. I need to find an unexposed
area of the carpet to compare color to make sure the Folex was just
not bleaching the carpet.

I use Folex all the time with my heated Extractor. It is a great product and performes with or with out an extractor. I also use the Zep Extractor carpet shampoo I found at Home Depot that works great as well.

the folex is not bleaching the carpet. it is actually cleaning it. i use it for my pads as well.

I use a shop vac or a carpet cleaner, look into the Little Green Machine or you can rent machines. Folex and Bio K Kleen Traffic Lane Cleaner work great.

I have a Little green Machine but have not had a chance to use it on a car yet . I have just bought a car that is filthy inside . The carpet is beige in color with bad stains . All suggestions will be appreciated .

I had thought about a LGM, but waited saved my cash and bought Aztec Hotrod Heated Extractor. One of the best pieces of equipment I invested in besides my Flex. The extractor saves my time and effort. I also use Folex and a brush,agitate, then extract. Mats and carpet look new. I always have a gallon of Folex with the other detailing supplies. I keep 2 bottles on the truck just in case. With my extractor, Folex, and my pressure washer. I can get the mats, carpets and head liners very clean.

Yes I too have the Aztec HotRod excellent machine. That and The Folex is a formidable force !!!!!!!!!!

I bought a hot rod as well. Best bang fo rhte buck by far. I usually use AM carpet and upholsrty shampoo or 303 cleaner and agitate into the carpet. Extract with the Hot rod and voila, clean carpets

Is this the same Folex sold at HD for $5 for a 32oz bottle marked as carpet/spot cleaner in the home cleaning area/products?
