WG DGPS by hand or machine

I am planning to order the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover Kit this evening. On the site, it says to apply the TSR with orange pad, FG with white pad, and DGPS with the blue pad. But, would it be better to apply the DGPS by hand? It may just boil down to a preference thing, but I thought I would ask. The gameplan is to top the DGPS with Natty's Blue in hopes of producing a deep, wet look. This will all be going on my '01 Bullitt.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Beautiful car...one of the cleanest Stangs I've seen!

You CAN do the WG sealant by hand, but IMO it is always best to apply a liquid wax/sealant with a finishing pad and a D.A. polisher. You'll use less product, and get a much thinner, more even application, which will make removal easier as well.

Re: WG DGPS by hand or machine

Thanks for the compliment and the reply Matt. I have been using Meg's pro line (#80, #7, & #26) on the car, but have decided (with some guidance from mixxer) to step up to the more high-end products. I'm hoping for a truly dripping wet look that will still allow the flake to "pop".

One more quick question: would it be best to apply the Natty's Blue with a foam applicator or a mf one? I'm assuming foam, but just want to be sure.

Here's one more pic of the B.

Re: WG DGPS by hand or machine

you could use either applicator, I like the foam ones a little better than the MF ones, but it just boils down to choice.

beautiful! I would definitely go with foam...I personally hate using MF applicators as they seem to absorb too much product and don't spread as easily.

Re: WG DGPS by hand or machine

Thanks for the compliments guys. This year's Mustang Week event in Myrtle Beach, SC is host to the Bullitt Nationals. We are expecting 100+ Bullitts to be in attendance. Trying to do what I can to stand out from the crowd. I'm hoping that the Wolfgang/Natty's combo will push it over the top.
