Comparable to Pinnacle Souveran Paste without the $$?

I cant do it, folks. I love detailing and love being able to do more with a different product, but $85 for a container of wax is just eating me up. I dont have a ton of cash these days and just CANT DO IT!

That said, whats the closest comparable paste, in terms of shine? Im not all to worried about durability, but if I can find something at half the cost, I'd jump at it. I frequently use Natty's (have red, blue, and white) and also have some Mother's California Gold Pure Carnauba (got it because I loved the smell). Thinking about just getting a large jug of Souveran liquid while its on sale and call it good. Also thought about going with P21S 100% in replacement of the Souveran. Im just afraid Im going to get some other stuff and STILL end up buying the Souveran paste. Suggestions?

That's exactly what I would expect would happen... Yes, there are a lot of paste waxes out there that look "close" or "similar" to Souveran... and No, even though the wax costs more than twice as much, it doesn't look twice as good... but still, if you're like most, you won't be satisfied until you see for yourself what it looks like on your car. I suggest going ahead and laying out the cash if you can, save the 30 - 50 dollars on whatever wax you're thinking of buying that you still won't be happy with no matter how "close" it is to Souveran. If you can stand it, wait for the next big AG sale (or your birthday)...

Re: Comparable to Pinnacle Souveran Paste without the $$?

Maybe this sounded like a loaded question. I know how to run a search and have read a million things concerning wax on the forums. I guess my point was to try and get some support along the lines of a "next best thing" aspect. Shopping cart is still sitting, unordered. Might still get the Souveran, since my birthday isnt until August.....

Pinnacle Sig Series 2, Max Wax, or Chemical Guys Pete's 53 are nice waxes. You could also try Pinnacle Liquid Souveran which is offered at GREAT prices right now. All of the above are much less than 1/2 the price of Souveran Paste.

Max Wax is a very nice alternative for 1/3 the cost DP Max Wax- Made with pure carnauba wax and advanced polymers.
But, I agree that you'll still wonder about Souveran. Well, the Max Wax won't break the bank while you're waiting for a sale.

Meguiar's Gold Glass hands down. That, or you can also do M7 with M26 which will equally do just the same, if not better.
