wetsanding?

what do i need to wetsand and how to wetsand? i have a car that i think it needs it and i want to wetsand it before polishing it with my dewalt 849

Simply put - wetsand paper (2000 grit), block (flexible?), soap and water ... oh and some practice would be a good idea as well (scrap panel).

Practice practice practice. Go to the junkyard, get yourself a banged up hood/fender/whatever and practice! I sat with a local auto painter and picked his brain for about an hour before I even touched the sand paper. Its not hard, in theory, but an inexperienced person is going to do more damage with wetsanding than you will with a rotary. 'Course thats debatable, too
