Well when u say great technician wat do u mean?1 that can fix all brands?because i no of a few great GM techs that can figure out almost everything thats thrown there way if its a GM.and same with Inifinity/Nissan.

I do how ever agree with ur detailer comment, because of a lot of them are very bias when it comes to brand names and processes of doing things. I have a lot of respect and trust for the guy that recomended me to try something other then 845.and he for years used the same products like most older detailers that i run into.he told me he had nothing but bad luck with the 845 and thats not the first time iv heard that, and thats y i was surprised that people are claiming its easy to work with.but like anything else ill give this vitreo a shot tomorrow hopefully and see if it suits my needs.

A "mechanic" replaces parts a "technician" find and properly diagnoses the problem and ensures it doesn't happen again.
Example:A mechanic will replace the brakes and that it. A technician will resurface the rotors/drums and lube the sliders, then wipe off the grease from all parts and make sure it looks professional. Make sense? When you find a great tech you pay there prices for peace of mind. No different then finding a great detailer.

You mean the same guys I've seen detailing for 15 years that do the worst work I've seen yet act like they are the man? . I saw one who "detailed" for 20 years at a show I was at, was in love with Nu Finish LOL, cars paint sucked....swirled up the azz.

I've used 845 on car/truck, wave runners, ski boat etc, its very easy to use, just has to be applied thinly but that goes for any wax.

Re: Collinite 845

My family and I just met my brother in St. Pete where he had a free boat rental for 4 hours near the pier. Before we got on the boat I noticed there was a bottle of 845 on his dock and I made a comment that it's what I used on my brother's car last year and he said "that's ALL I'll use on my boats, it's awesome stuff". His boats looked pretty darn nice....glossy and clean!

Re: Collinite 845

I find it hard for me to use anything but 845. It's inexpensive, long lasting, beads like crazy, is super easy to apply and remove and looks great.

Here are three examples from my garage.

Original paint on all three

Re: Collinite 845

Not sure why you would even want to put it on with a machine. It's fun and easy to wipe on and off by hand with an MF pad.
