Re: gettin wet sand out

That's going to depend on how hard the paint is. I've been told of paint so hard that you can't buff the sanding marks with a rotary. With soft paint it will take a long time but it can be done with the right pads/products.

Just what the SpoiledMan said (and that is what I almost always say after he speaks: "I agree"), it is either going to be impossible or it is going to be a pain. Now considering that you used phrase "any DA" and Flex is a DA I have to be a smartie pants and add "also depends on which DA" With Flex I have removed 1500 grit dry sanding marks. Not as quick as rotary did but still rather quick.

Out of compounds AG carries Menzerna Power Gloss is what I would reach for. You can also check out Optimum Hyper-Compound and 1Z Intensive Paste. Oh yeah, and System One.

Out of compounds AG does not carry (yet? let's hope) I would reach for Meguiar's M105 (which is my favorite compound).

Please notice none of compounds are ever meant to be used with DA (they will work with Flex just fine ).

Re: gettin wet sand out

My vote would be to use 3m compound for wet sanding otherwise spoiled man summed it up nicely.

Have you used the power gloss I am going to be doing a buddys vette that he is painting and it will have alot of clear on it and I am wrestling with the choice of the power gloss and nano or the 3M system I already have the nano so I may go that way. Please anyone chime in.

Re: gettin wet sand out

The power gloss would work but it dust like crazy. For wet sanding I prefer the 3m compound also I have been using ultrafina to finish with which gives just as good results as 106FF. ALso you can use Meguiars M105 to remove wet sand marks.
