| Need Recomendation for Extractor and Steamer
Hey everyone. I am looking for feedback, recommendations, pros and cons of hot water and steamers on the market. I may be in the market for both pieces of equipment in the near future, and would love to hear everyone's thoughts. Money is a factor, but they will get heavy use, so I am perfectly aware that I will have to pay a little more to get quality. Thank in advance!

What do you plan to do with the steamer? Cleaning seats and engine?

I just got the Mytee lite ii and VX5000, haven't gotten chance to use it but I have a mini van to detail on Wednesday and will probably do a write up for anyone who looking to purchase both these items. I'm sure you will get a lot of feedback because a lot of people uses these tools for interior cleaning.

As far as steamers are concerned, the VX 5000 is a good machine at a reasonable price. There are a couple of others in that price range that are probably good deals as well. I have the VX and the Dupray Hill injection. The
Dupray is a great machine but more than most people want to pay for a steamer.
As far as extractors are concerned, I have the Durrmaid. It is a good machine and I have had no problems with it. After using the Mytee Lite at Boot Camp, that would be my choice if I had it to over. If money is an issue and you have to pick one machine, the steamer would be my first choice. They both make the job a lot easier.

I've never used either I was just curious.

Ive got 2 VX5000s and a Mytee Lite II - Love the steamers.... not a huge fan of the extractor although most people prefer the Mytee ---- not saying its a bad piece of equipment, we have just maxed out the ability of the steamers through daily usage and prefer the steamer's universal uses as well as ability to remove stains. Again this is my opinion and many others would take the Mytee over the steamers - my Mytee sits in the work van collecting dust lol.

What concerns me about Dupray is they try to 'dupe' people - at least on Youtube - in to believing you can clean the exterior of a 'clean' car with their steamer and a hanging 20+' hose. I'd be curious how much PSI comes out at the tip after 20'. I tried commenting it on Youtube and they delete it. If they can do that, I'd be concern about what else they can do. The digital display is nice, but after seeing their video and having them delete my comment, I wonder if it's rigged to make it look like it puts out more PSI than it can.
If it were me, I'm debating about the Daimer Kleenjet 300CS and a separate extractor. The Kleenjet puts out less PSI than the equivalent Dupray and it has an analog display. But for all I know, that analog display probably puts out real readings. It doesn't look as nice as the Dupray, but then again they don't lie about their products. I'd have to say, after talking to a Dupray rep over the phone, he was a bit more straight-forward stating their products can't really clean the exterior of a car.

I forgot what it is but much more expensive. The cleaning of exteriors was the reason I wanted the Dupray. And it does a pretty good job in exteriors IMO. I use Opticlean and steam and it will clean a moderately dirty car and pretty nasty wheels. As far as the pressure readout, the Dupray actually displays temperature and not pressure. But it packs a punch on high and the hot water injection is pretty strong.
