You can use detergent, but make sure there are no softners in it(like tide free or micro-restore). I would dry them on low heat. When they air or hang dry, they tend to stiffen up.

I used DP microfiber cleaner for the first time yesterday and the results where awesome. Or do like Loudog suggests and you will be fine.
