MF's from Costco

Has anybody tried the 54 pack of Zwipes microfiber towels from Costco? If so, how was the quality compared to a Cobra MF? The description says 90,000 fibers per square inch, how does that compare to g/cm2?

In the future can I like to something like this or is it against forum rules?

Re: MF's from Costco

Haven't tried em but you usually get what you pay for IMO. I use wal*mart micro's for my wheels only and COBRA for everything else. The COBRA MF are worth the money-no doubt. Last a long time as well. The main thing is the quality but the edges of most other micro's will micro mar/swirl your clearcoat because they are sewn/rough. COBRA makes the edgeless towels and the silk edged towels which rule.

I am always worried that in the bulk bunch, a couple of them could be quite bad. I prefer 1st stock when possible and Autogeek and Pakshak are my choice.

Try doing a CD test. If it doesn't scratch your cd, it should be safe for paint.

BTW I use the yellow mf's from Costco for wheels and under the hood. They will never touch my paint.

Re: MF's from Costco

i have the yellow microfibers from costco and will not purchase them again (i use them for non-paint related tasks) as they lint. the proforce microfibers from sams club are better...

I agree AG and Pakshak

If your going to go otc I only trust the Vroom orange micros for paint. When my others were dirty I would use my Vrooms, and never noticed any marring on paint and passed cd test. Though most of those I use for wheels and interior now as I mixed some up and couldn't remember what was used for what lol. One good test is linting, do your glass with cheap micros and you can tell a difference as they will usually leave lint like a mofo thats noticeable.

You just have to love Pakshak microfiber and waffle weave towels, have not found anything better than those.

Re: MF's from Costco

yeeaarrs ago i bought some pakshak towels after hearing all the hype on them and after receiving and using them, i was not impressed. while they are probably alot better quality now (i'm sure of it) i've never had that problem when i first started ordering microfibers from AG. i know when i place a microfiber order with AG, i'll get good high quality microfibers...
