Meg's Chenille Wash Pad
I've been using Meguiar's chenille wash pad and thought I would provide some feedback on it.
http://www.autogeek.net/x3050.html
I find that it's more ergonomic and less painful. I think it's because of an old weightlifting injury I had years back (I partially tore ligaments in both of my wrists.) The angle that the mitt puts my hands in when washing the side panels causes some soreness and discomfort.
For the pad, I feel that I can let the weight of the pad do the scrubbing. I'm paranoid that with the wash mitts, I apply too much pressure since there isn't much padding in the mitts. The pad really glides well with a prefoam of the panel and some foam sprayed directly on the pad.
The only drawbacks are it holds onto a huge amount of water. This tends to dilute and wash away the foam on the panel quicker than a mitt. Also, obviously because your hand is now in it, it is easier to accidently drop it. I've dropped it a few times but luckily I either caught it in time or it fell on the hood or roof of the car.
I will say, I still prefer wash mitts for cleaning my wheels. I have both of Meg's wheel and spoke brushes. They're pretty nice but for speed, the wash mitt is still the way to go for me. No accidental banging with a mitt either. This may change as I use the brushes more and get more adept with them...we'll have to wait and see.
The only problem with the mitt is that it holds onto the brake dust really well and doesn't seem to want to let go. I may start using a pre-rinse with a strong solution of soap or APC first to see if that helps to reduce the amount of dust.
The chenille seems to be holding up somewhat well w.r.t softness. I may give it a good rinse and throw it in the dryer to see if that softens it up. For now, it's just air dried.
So has anyone else tried it? Do you guys like wash pads or mitts?

I use Cobra wash mitt and like it. I never used a wash pad. It still is not as soft as MF mitt, but I still use it once in a while. Works well well with Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo or Poorboys SS&S.

I bought a few of those at Big Lots for a couple of bucks. I use them in wheel wells when I dont want to use a brush.

I have used the Pinnacle Chenille mitts extensively, but they are short lived. I have found I personally prefer the Sheepskin mitts.

I have one of those Meg's sponges too. I also really like the way it fits in my hand.
