Thanks In Advance

I have one and its the best money spent on a carpet machine....does a great job....i have been using the ZEP extractor shampoo and its a very good product..before that i was using some of the expensive extractor shampoos and when i tried ZEP's..i was blown away..and they are very inexpensive...also get the Zep traffic lane cleaner...

they can be had from Home Depot....

Re: Hot Water Extractor

Word to the wise, only put water in your extractor. Let the chemicals dwell on the carpets, scrub with a brush and extract with water only. Cleaner carpets and no residue left behind. The mytees are a very good machine so I hear. I have an Aztec Hot Rod and it is very good as well. Not as big, but because I do mostly mobile it works great.

why not use in the solution tank....I do...then after I do the wash I use plain water in the tank and re do it sucking up any residual cleaners...using hot soap solution is much better than letting it dwell...plus using a traffic lane cleaner you spray that down on the rug first to dwell...then do the wash over it...carpet extractor shampoos are not like a APC that leave a ton of residue on the rug to resoil faster...

you just need to do a clean water rinse after..and be surprised how much dirt you get on the rinse ....you should always do a clean water rinse...

I also have the Aztec Hot Rod Mini Extractor. This is a very good machine. I have never put anything in it but water. I put the chemicals on the surface to be cleaned. I was told that this would extend the life of the machine and the heating unit. It comes in handy, and I'm also a mobile service. The machine is a perfect fit.

Re: Hot Water Extractor

I guess I do not understand why they sell extractor shampoos...my extractor instruction clearly state to use in the solution tank..and give mix ratios for conditions...

You can ask around, the shampoo that you squirt out isn't going to do much for the brief few seconds it is on the carpet. It is the fact that you let the chemicals dwell and then hit them with the hot water that will get them clean. I believe and many others do as well, that spraying carpet shampoo does nothing more than limit the life of your machine.
