Chips in paint, is there a cure?

Hey guys, I've got some tiny chips in my paint...

Is there a miracle cure for these?, or a new paint job is required?

Those chips are pretty common on road cars. They can be filled with touch-up paint applied using a rubber edge tool and special techniques. There are specialists that do this every day for car dealers or you could tackle it yourself.

Those are pretty easy to fix although your biggest challenge will be matching the paint. Metallics are a bear! For my cars I fill in the chip with several light coats of touch up paint and then wet sand it with a 2000 grit wetsand paper until it is smooth with the rest of the area. Then I use Menzerna Powergloss or any other polishing compound to remove the scratches caused by the wetsanding, then follow that with a finishing polish to give you a beautiful perfect finish.

You can just use the Langka system and not disturb the clear at all..just make sure you allow enough time to dry.

Ok, ordered the langka system.
Now look, this paint comes with 2 bottles, 1 base coat and 1 clear coat:

How do I use this with the langka system?, how do I do both base and clear coat?

Let me know how the Lanka system works out for you! I'm very interested.

Wetsanding is not too harsh on the paint when all you are doing basically is sanding down the blob of touch up paint to make it level with the rest of the area. It is a very simple process.

I have not personally used the Lanka products. I was fortunate enough to have a friend show me how to wet sand. He took me over the ends and outs. About a month of trial and error stuff. It's a step process that can be done at home. What I noticed would be a problem was also paint matching. My teacher told me that some of the older paints were difficult to find. Some of the newer paints are $$$. But wet sanding can save you alot of money done correctly
