Car buff that needs some help.

Hi,
I'm a car buff that wants to keep my cars looking great. Unfortunately it has been about 2 years since my cars have been cleaned, polished and waxed really well. There is no sign of oxidation, but the cars finishes are very rough and full of tiny surface scratces. I just bought a PC7424 with all of Lake Coutry buffing pads. I am thinking about using Meguiars Mirror Glaze #2 Fine Cut Cleaner followed by Mirror Glaze #7 Show Car Glaze and then waxing it with Mirror Glaze #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Car Wax.
I want to do my mother-in-laws car as well, but it has been several years since hers has been done. Hers has severe oxidation and is full of surface scratches. I plan on using Meguirs Mirror Glaze #4 Heavy Cut Cleaner followed with #7 Show Car Glaze, then wax it with Mirror Glaze #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Car Wax.

I haven't used the Meguiars products but I'm sure they will work fine, and you seem to have multiple grades of polish to work from buffing out the big chunks to refining the paint. Just take your time and have fun with it! You may also want to pick up some halogens to see the progress, if you don't have any yet. I got some at Home Depot today for $39.

Also, yes, claying will set the surface up for optimal polishing.

Watch out with that 26 on old trim it will stain it and then you will have to purchase something to remove it(stains)
