Liquid Souveran or Aquawax??

I have the LS and it worked great although not sure of the endurance factor. We've had lots of rain--yes it beads nicely but can't tell if its the wax or DG 105. The paint is silver and showed great after the LS was applied.

However, my wife's Fathers Day gift certificate is burning a hole and after reading posts, am wondering if its worthy to get some Aquawax or wait until the LS bottle is finished?

I QD the car at least 3 times a week with DP 4-1. I can't imagine that removes the wax.

Also do the glass waffle MF towels really work better than the multi-purpose MF?

Thanks again in advance.

I bought some AW at CarQuest when it was on sale for $5.99 and have been using it since. Love that stuff. You can do an entire truck or car pretty quickly and it beads real nice too!

heres a cool thread about the souveran spray
Souveran Spray Wax --- WOW !!

I was also wondering the same about the glass towel, some people here seem to really like them, although I see not everyone uses them.

The glass WW are so much easier to use. They cut through the oily film that you sometimes find on windows. They are more absorbent so the towel doesn't get damp and smear product around. They are just overall more efficient so you wind up using less glass cleaner. I remember wondering the same thing but I'm glad that I got a couple of Glass WW.

The WW glass towel works much better on glass than the Multi-purpose towels. I can't give you a real reason why, but I have tried quite a few diffrent towels on glass, and I always have to come back and finish or fix it with the glass towel.

As far as the Aquawax vs. Souvern spray, well there isn't much of a fight there. The Souvern is an actual spray wax. Nothing around that, it will act just like wax on the paint and have about the same durability. Despite the name, Aquawax is actually a spray sealant. It does look amazing, and doesn't mute anything, but it is a sealant, and therefore won't look the same.

Having said that, and having used both, I use the Aquawax. It is $6 and I follow my weekly washes with it. It looks killer, enhances the current wax on the car, and extends it's life and durability. If you use the Souvern Spray monthly, topping it with the AW weekly, it will look great, and the next day it always looks better.

Actually, its the Liquid Souveran not the spray. I'll probably take a flyer on the AW for $6 grins and see. Since I like to QD the car alot anything easy to make it shine sounds good and still use the LS when the mood strikes.

Can you actually have too much AW on since its a sealant?

Also, thanks for the Glass WW MF reports. I love clean windows and will pop for a couple and some Stoner Invisible Glass.

Cheers

using the Souveran Spray booster over LS is just as easy as AW. IMO the Souveran looks wetter, and lasts longer. More of a booster than and qd'er.

I use both, but the finish of SS really has the "trademark" Souveran look. With that said AW also leaves a fantastic finish and beading. I use Souveran spray weekly as a booster and after almost a week of rain the finish still looks great. Only if you stand up right next to the finish do you notice the effects of the rain. This is on black finish mind you.

You won't be sorry on getting the glass ww:
This microfiber was engineered for cleaning. Tiny spokes in the individual fibers, too microscopic to detect with the naked eye, lift and trap dirt and moisture, while gently buffing the surface to a shine. Microfiber is designed to never shed lint. Another attribute is the magnetized nature of the cloth towards dust. With each wipe across your glass, the material actually attracts particles that may be left behind by lesser cloths. This all adds up to a superior outcome on your windshields and windows.

hey greg... just wondering, since the AW is really a sealant, youve had no problems using it over a car with a couple of coats of carnuba? I think i read somewhere that sealants shouldnt go over wax. Im guessing this isnt the case with the AW spray.
